The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures seeks part-time lecturers to teach Chinese Language and Japanese Language in Spring 2010, at the Fundamental and Intermediate level.  The Annual full-time salary is $44,636.00.  The full-time teaching load for lecturers in the School of Humanities is 8 courses per year; appointment will be made at 37.5% per course per quarter ($5,579.50 per course).  Spring quarter service period is 03/24/2010 - 06/11/10.

 

Minimum requirements are an M.A. (ABD, Ph.D. or Ed.D preferred) in Chinese/Japanese Languages and Literature, Second Language Acquisition, Chinese/Japanese Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Education, or a closely related field. Teaching experience in a university setting preferred; fluency in both Chinese/Japanese and English ARE required.  Applicants should be prepared to teach first- through second-year Chinese/Japanese.

Tenure-Track Position in Chinese Language and Literature

PALOMAR COLLEGE Foreign Languages Department

The Foreign Languages department has an opening for a part-time instructor of Chinese. This class meets MW from 4:00 pm to 6:20 pm on the San Marcos Campus. Minimum qualifications: Master's in Chinese OR Bachelor's in Chinese AND Master's in another language or linguistics OR the equivalent.
